Anyone ever heard of Jasons Rock? I read about it as a kid in Ripleys Believe it or not. Supposed to be in the Hamptons somewhere. A large boulder with a flat, almost bowled top. It is said that there is always water in the bowled spot. Even in drought conditions, the flat area on top of the rock was wet.

Hello,
I hope you can help me. I was recently speaking with friends and told them a story that I either read in your magazine or watched on your TV show many years ago. It was about Jacobs Rock and it was supposed to be located in the Hamptons area of Long Island, New York. This rock was supposed to be a large boulder with a flat, dished top that always contained water. Supposedly, even in drought conditions. Thats all I remember and all of my searches have comeback empty.
I would appreciate any information you may have regarding Jacobs Rock. I wonder if I am going nuts! LOL Thanks in advance.
