Today, I was "fired" again. Funny how many things I have on my "to do" list and this one kinda snuck up on me this morning.
I've been threatening to replace this flimsy old metal shelf unit that I threw up in a hurry out in the rear of my garage when I first moved here.
It basically holds gardening, BBQ, stains, paints & lawn implements and stuff.
I figured once I took out the old shelf unit, I'd paint the ugly green walls White like I've been doing throughout the rest of my garage as I've been
progressing around the inside walls. But first, I had to vacuum a shitload of rat poops from the wall sill. Never saw so much crap in all my life from
one animal. Had a nice comfy nest going on too in between my scrap lumber pile. I primed the walls and then built a base for the newer, nicer, beefier
shelf unit to sit on. Plus it's white and matches the walls. I was pretty proud of myself spotting this unit at a yardsale a couple years ago for $10 and
almost getting a hernia loading it into my car....it's built like a brick shit-house LOL!
Before I put the shelf unit in, I painted the walls glossy white just to get rid of some 11 year old acrylic paint....let it dry with the help of a large pedestal
fan. The unit went in like "butter" and even though it's not straight front to back, it still looks great! I fastened it to the garage wall at the top and put most
of the stuff back on it. I even found room for my chop box which has always been kicking around on the floor when not in use.
