I really miss the Drive Inn's. Was cheap fun. We would go get some take out, chill a few brews and break out the lawn chairs.
"Well being as there's no other place around the place, I reckon this must be the place, I reckon."
I never went to those but the one on Sunrise in Patchogue we used to go to. It then became a mulltiplex and now its closed.
i went to the westbury drive in twice. needless to say i never watched the movie ;D![]()
There was a drive-in in Rocky Point. There is a "ghost sign" as you guys called it still there of it.

The only one I got to go to was the one in Jericho.....my mom was telling me there used to be one in Plainedge where the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway crosses Hempstead Turnpike now, so that must've been all the way back in the 50s. I dunno if we've got anybody on here that's old enough to have been to that one!
The old sign is still there. It was a golf driving range for a while...Originally Posted by SkiesMostWanted

I've never been to any, wish I could have. My dad said he's been to that one, the one in Bayshore, and in Patchogue. He said there also used to be a movie theater on Waverly Ave and Sunrise (where Staples is now).
