took the metal detector for a walk today

Headed out this morning with Mike to try to get permission to hunt a few spots. We got the OK for both. First spot was a large woods site. I got a crotal ball (sleigh bell) but that was about it. We didnt stay long. We have some research to do on this spot to see where the best place is to detect.
Next spot was a house they were demolishing when we got there. We had to dodge flying 2x4s and 2x8s coming from the roof! First target I dug was a wheat penny, then a nice silver cub scout ring. A few more wheats then I got a nice signal not too deep. Cut a plug and out came the pocket watch. We'll be back at this place once they finish knocking down the house.

A Pocket watch? How cool is that? I know Pete has dug up a couple watches at the bottle hole.
