    Found on the floor

Seriously, I went to do laundry and this was on my basement floor. It must have come out of the ceiling. I am down here every day and never saw it. I have scrubbed the floor, mopped it and when we get water I have sucked it up. Amazing. Anyway, the pics suck but it is a copper coin, FDR 1 cent game coin. I won't clean it since I don't want to ruin the finish, but hopefully you can see it in these pics.

It must have fallen out of the floor. Old house. Every time they run through it shakes. It might have fallen into the wood floor a long time ago and made it's way through. It was at the bottom of the stairs and we are down there every day. There is no way it was sitting there for a long time. I have been down there at least 4 times today. It is just wild.

Sorry, I don't know what to make of it. Didn't you say on the phone that your wife found something about it online? COOL just the same.

I have to get her to find the link again. It looks like it is some sort of novelty coin worth about 7-10 bucks. I don't remember where I put it now. Oops.

Cant really see the photos to well. Is it a game piece or a token of some sort? Very cool either way.

The pics came out terrible and I suck at photography. I will try again outside another day and see how they come out. I think it is a novelty coin, but the freaky thing is that it literally fell from the sky or showed up out of nowhere. Crazy. I wonder what other treasures this house holds.

You really need to look around the attic and stuff. You never know..... Did you check online to see what it is? How do you know its from the 30's? How old is your house?

Gayle had looked it up, but I need to do some poking. I will take it to work with me today, I have a jewelers Lupe in my desk for documents and I will look at it in good light and see. My house was built in 1924 or 1926.
