We just tried this Japanese restaurant last night. It is located in downtown Bayshore on main Street across from the Nutty Irishman. Excellent! I had Filet mignon with shrimp and lobster and the ginger dressing on the salad was very good. I tried Hot sake and that was strong. If you like sushi and or japanese food go here, you won't be disappointed. It's been there for 4 years.

This place puts penninsula to shame (also located in downtown bayshore). We went there once for sushi and some other japanese stuff and it was terrible. Aji is the place to go.

Peninsula is more 'traditional' Chinese food, while Aji seems to be more 'Asian fusion' + sushi - similar to the Fancy Lee in Babylon (formerly Fortune Garden) which is also very good but not as good as Aji.

I called fancy lee and told them we had a gift certifcate for fortune garden could we use it there. They said yes come in, so we did and the guy said no fortune garden out of business we cannot accept their gift card. We left and told them I guess you don't want our business. Fortune Garden was a really good place I miss it. Have you been to Aji Chris?

I actually like Fancy Lee much better than I did Fortune Garden. I think the food is much better and I like the redone interior, it's a nicer atmosphere.

I have only been to Aji once.
