Best Burgers???

What spots on Long Island do you guys get your bugers from? Let's try and keep fastfood places out of this thread.

1. DS Shanahans (Kings Park) - I love their cheeseburgers. Years back there was nothing better after a long day in KPPC than going back across Old Dock Rd and grabbing a cold beer and a cheeseburger (on an english muffin) for dinner.

2. KB's Buger Shack (Patchogue) - Relatively new place, you can get your burgers plain, marinated or with a cajun seasoning. They also have soft shell crab and fried green tomatoes. I suggest the Shack Attack Burger (a cheeseburger sandwiched between two grilled cheese sandwiches).

Don't eat burgers out anymore. I figure i make them the best at home. I use BJ's sirloin beef patties on the BBQ or the fry pan....either way a tasty burger esp the way i fixum'! ...and some times marinated.

Lately my wife has picked up some burgers from Associated. They have cheddar and bacon and other things in them and I put them on the grill and cook 'em medium rare and they come out delicious.

My sister in law said Declan Quinns in Bayshore makes a good burger.

I like my own burgers best. Chopped onions and American Burger seasoning mix....mixed into the meat. Some american cheese, bacon....yum!

yeah I made my own hamburgers last week with Italian seasoning, beef bullion, onion powder, garlic, parm cheese and a splash of red wine mixed in. Grilled them and they were excellent.
