On Sunday Riverhead Raceway hosted it's first round of the HDRA 100' Drags! Considering the amount of car shows and weather, turnout was good. Of course yours truly was there to cover it for Long Island Jam.
The schedule for the rest of the year is 6/26, 7/24, 8/28 and 9/11. It's run what you brung and someone even ran a quad! If you're free those days and want to run your car or bike or whatever or just want to watch, come on down! Long Island needs a new dragstrip (and road course too) (RIP Westhampton and Bridgehampton)... You can also visit the Long Island Motorsports Association for more info on bringing drag racing back to Long Island.
