    Classic American Restaurant

Was flipping through the channels today, stopped at fox 5 and screamed "I know that place!"
Too bad I missed the very beginning, but Classic American Restaurant was on tonights episode of "Kitchen Nightmares". Surprised me only a little. I was actually there a few months ago with a friend from my West Babylon office. It didn't impress me much....

I pass it every Monday and got surprised when they had it all redone. It was hopping in the middle of the night! Street cones and everything guiding people into the parking lot. Well this explains that....

I missed that episode. How bad was the place?
"Well being as there's no other place around the place, I reckon this must be the place, I reckon."

When I was there I didn't think it was bad... just plain, and the place was EMPTY. I missed most of the episode. It was already fixed up when I turned it on, but it should be on again on www.fox.com tomorrow under full episodes.

IT wasn't dirty or anything, the food just sucked and they would run out of everything. This episode was more about the lack of leadership and communication. THey had 13 menus for 50 seats and ran out of bowls cups and food. Watch it. Not the usual screaming and yelling.
Call me a liar, you knew.
You were a fool, but that's cool, it's all right.
Call me the Devil, it's true.
Some can't accept but I crept inside you.

Yeah, when I went there it was definitely not dirty from the outside. Since I didn't actually see the full episode yet, I was scared to find the kitchen was dirty and crawling with bugs or something. Guess I don't have to worry about that (thank goodness!).
I also went on a day that was COMPLETELY dead so I did get to experience a lack of menus, dishes, or food. The sweet potato chips were delish too ^_^.

Nope, it's been around for awhile. According to the show, the current owners bought it from their boss 10 years ago. They started off as waitresses there. It really is a tiny little place on rt 109... I think I remember it is just after Straight Path if you are going west bound.
