    Long Island History Trivia

    Long Island History Trivia is where anybody can ask questions about long island history. This is a way for us to quiz each other on long island history. Questions can be about anything relating to long island history(Gold coast mansions, old school houses, military Railroad and so on). Anybody can ask questions and anybody can anwser them. Time for the first question.

    I belive it was 1962 and it was long island's first enclosed shopping mall.

    Camp Mills was incorporated into Mitchel Field as part of an Air Corps expansion, what year did this happen.

    Established in 1918 as Hazelhurst Aviation Field #2, the facility was renamed Mitchel Field in honor of former New York City Mayor John Purroy Mitchel who was killed while training for the Air Service in Louisiana.

    There were how many Nike Missile bases on LI and where were they located (King/Queens counties count...)

    I know there was one in Amityville and another in Hempstead/Garden City. I believe there were a few others.

    Does Hart's Island count even though it's off of the Bronx?

    NY-20 in lloyd harbor/huntington
    NY-23 in hicksville/oyster bay
    NY-24 in farmingdale/amityville
    NY-25 in rocky point/brookehaven
    NY-29/30 (a double) in lido beach
    NY-49 in fort tilden

    A TOTAL OF SIX?
