    Ronkonkoma Hotel 1920-30's.

    I don't have alot of info. This was a hotel on the west side of the lake. I can't remember the name, but I think Rob Knows.

    We think this was once the Fiedler Hotel. I spoke with the homeowner. He said he believed the house was built in 1925 and as far as he knew it was the Marino Estate. He said there are two entry columns to the place that are now on someone elses property. The 1925 date falls right into the time period of the heyday of the lake.

    Damn that's really cool....I'm really digging the tree-lined entranceway.

    Must be a great place to live, even now! Very unique....although the taxes must blow!

    Did you guys just go knock on the door? I've been tempted to do that with a few places, but never have the balls to go through with it.

    Im working on the history of this piece of land. Ive got a real estate agent helping me dig up the info.

    Just found (had to purchase) this N.Y times article. Looks like the Original 50 room Fiedler hotel was destroyed. Maybe this is a different structure from the same resort???

    Article states this building was the largest at the resort. So I assume the building that stands was a smaller building or is whats left of the 50 room hotel that burned. ?
