They wont cut service..just a scare tactic..

Yes the town is redoing the spur. They got the money to do it many times, each time the killed it. Hopefully this time it goes through. There's quite a few industrial sites in there that could get service.
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

That's what I think too.....it'd be so lame if they did this. The LIRR should open more lines, not close the ones they've already got.

Especially since anyone who lives in the MTA corridor is now going to pay more on their registrations and licenses to help bail them out...

The last time I registered a car I think I paid something like $370.....and that was even with lying and claiming I only paid $100 for it to avoid the ludicrous sales tax on it.

When I registered my first car in 1999 it cost me less than $100 paying sales tax at fair market value. They've gotta be kidding with this....

I'm gonna be honest on here for a minute and mention that I do something slightly illegal to offset these retarded costs. I print up my own inspection stickers....haven't gotten an inspection done in ten years....it's saved me about $3,000. I could print up fake registrations too, but I'm pretty sure it'd show up as expired if a cop ever ran my plates.....and then I'd be in a whole lot more trouble. Do you know how that works, Allan?

The MTA is an absolute joke. They need to gut the whole thing and start from scratch. Get all new people in there.

Talk about ludicrous taxes, have you heard about this tax on soda that some idiots are proposing? If politicians need our money so badly, why can't they just come out and say "we, your local and state politicians have screwed up with managing your money so badly that we now need X amount of dollars to fix our mistake" rather than trying to tell us that soda is bad, so they are taxing us on it for our own best interest LOL!
