LI Drivers SUCK!

Ok, Rant time.

I am SICK OF THIS! The past month I have been noticing a sky rocking amount of assholes on the road. I just made a round trip to Riverhead. I damn near got into 4 accidents! Over at 63/64 on the LIE when the right lane ends, Im past the merge ans a guy in a BMW SUV FLYS past me in the shoulder and passes me. Same thing happens to me coming home at 5 corners.

I go to make a lane change, and morons dive into the lane you want to go into and fly ahead and start weaving.

Nobody uses directionals anymore!

There is NO courtesy anymore either! Whatever happened to dimming your brights when a car is coming at you? Does not happen anymore. And if you need to drive with your brights always on you shouldn't be driving..

Another thing is the god damn sand trucks! Granted they need to make there runs but im sick of them flying up my ass and riding it until I move over..I do 5-8 over, Im not risking getting a ticket.

Then theres the people that like to creep at lights. I admit I do it to myself, as the light to my street if you don't jump it sometimes your screwed, but I don't sit there rolling up every 3 seconds and slamming on the brakes!

Sorry for the rant but I am sick of this! Its getting horrible!

I swear if I ever win the Lottery I am going to rent billboards urging people to use the fucking blinkers. One of my biggest pet peeves. They come standard, they aren't extra and people need to use the damn things.

Apparently it takes too much effort to use a turn signal. By the way, I was in a parking lot today, behind a new black Cadillac Escalade. The bumper sticker said "I already have everything, but I can always use another orgasm". I can't help but think this woman is an arrogant and inconsiderate driver, among other things. Imagine explaining this one to your young child.

The county dropped how many of their officers in an attempt to save money? (politicians should consider salary cuts, before cutting the police, in my opinion)
A simpler solution to me would have been to outfit the patrol cars with cameras and ticket people all day long for not signaling. They could afford to keep some more of the cops on the roads. Tailgating's another one. Drives me nuts. I'm within the 10 over bracket almost always. (wife calls me a granny driver)
Easy revenue if you ask me... and they'd have people thinking twice about how they drive. A driver who thinks about how they drive is a safer driver. Never going to stop bad drivers... but it can be curtailed.

I always use my turn signals, I'm anal like that. Of course one day I get pulled over and the cop tickets me for Failure to use the turn signal. I was pissed! The bulb must have just burned out and I didnt realize it. I tried to explain but got the ticket anyway. That one burns me.......

I may be a little late, but if the bulb was out it was just a fix it ticket... If we didn't check to make sure the signals were working the judges would throw the ticket out on us...

Well, Im sure it didnt help that I was driving my 79 Vette, 575 hp with a loud exhaust. I may have been a little mouthy as well.... :

i agree that LI drivers suck, especially those on cell phones. they do not pay attention to the rd or you. they cut you off or better yet swerve on the rd. What is the urgent need to be talking on your cell phone while driving? Can't the call wait until later? i am sure many of us are guilty of this practice. People who use their brights bug the shit out of me. why do you need them on? Stop signs; they might as well say optional on them because the one across from my house;well no one seems to stop, they roll through right through it.
