    Black Dog of Medford...

This story is second hand information, told to me directly from the person who had experienced it.

Frank, is one of my co-workers. He is in his mid-late 40s. He grew up in western Suffolk in a house that he now believes was haunted and moved to Medford in the 1970s with his mother and father. One afternoon he and his mother began to hear the sound of a large dog howling, at first they thought nothing of it. The howling continued for days and then weeks. Finally his mother questioned a neighbor about the howling dog and the neighbor replied that she hadn't heard anything. Being a superstitious old woman that neighbor told my friends mother that the hearing the howling was a bad omen. Shortly there after my friends father was diagnosed with cancer.

A few days later the howling stopped. Coming home from school Frank noticed a large black dog walking down the street towards him. He told me the dog resembled a black lab but quite a bit larger. Eventually he crossed paths with the dog infront of his house. From this point on whenever he'd come home the dog would be waiting for him in his front stoop. He could be out at school, work or with friends... when he'd leave the dog wouldn't be there but each and everytime he came home the dog would be waiting. Eventually he got use to the dog being there and would just pet the dog on it's head when he passed by.

His father's health began to take a turn for the better. The cancer was shrinking. He came home from school that last day and the dog was gone. He thought nothing of it and walked into his house to the sound of his mother crying. Frank's father had just passed away afternoon.

To my knowledge what I have just written here is 100% accurate to what I had been told.
