Great shoots susan, brings back memories. I spent alot of time in this park 10 years ago.
Doc.......Four! It was really nice there this morning. Only me, a bike rider and a gramma with a baby in a carriage walking around.Originally Posted by DOC
Sparky......I remember the park many years ago too. Do you remember when at one time they had a small area with animals? Long gone but I did find an odd cement area that makes me wonder what was once there.
I don't remember the animals there. I only lived in oakdale for about 2 years. That was from 98 to 200. But alot of memories thoguh.
Looks like a really nice place, I've never seen/heard of it before.
NEITHER HAVE I! I'M SURE THERE ARE TONS OF SMALL NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS LIKE THIS WITH PONDS AND LAKES ALL OVER LONG ISLAND.

This is one of those hidden away treasures as far as im concerned. Ive never seen it crowded. The entrance is off of Montauk Hwy on a quiet residential street. It has picnic tables and bbq's. Would make a nice place for a small get together.
IT SUPPOSEDLY ALSO HAS A LARGE IN GROUND COMMUNITY POOL AND CLUBHOUSE AS WELL.

I used to swim there with my friends family when I was a kid ..
