    BYGONE LONG ISLAND PRESENTATION

    We will be giving a presentation on "Keeping Long Islands History Alive" on Monday March 30th 2009 at the Manorville Two Room Schoolhouse. Please stop by for an evening of history hunting, good conversation and an opportunity to visit this historic location. Sponsored by the Manorville Historic Society. Starts at 7:30 PM sharp.

    I'll be back from Boston, but I wont be able to get there till about 8, gotta drop off Travis at 7:30 that night...

    Maybe at the end of your presentation you could remind people to support and visit the many museums and parks we have on the island that are now struggling because of the economy.

    Good idea Susan, I was told that they are closing a park by me. Grant Park. It has an Ice Skating Rink and is a nice place to walk around. I hope it isn't true, but I think it may be.

    I will be talking about that as well as many other things. Remember , the areas historic societies also need funding to operate. Its not just the high profile places like museums...

    Wow if that's true that sucks I grew up at grant park.
