    You and I have the same problem Lubs. Composition. We really need to look closer at what we shoot. The first one would have been nice but the fence screws it up. Move closer and get unwanted objects out of the frame. The second one is a bit hazy. Keep on shooting though...Practice makes perfect. Good work!

    yes oakwood is in bayshore. I felt Like i was intruding on peoples loved ones that is why i did not go inside and take more pictures. sounds silly huh?

    Yup. I understand completely. I always try to be discreet when photographing these places. I avoid anyone who is visiting / burying a loved one. I try to stick to the older places, less contact and usually more photographically friendly...

    i want to head out east in the nice weather and go to bridgehamptn/south hampton i know there are older cemeteries there.

    Looks like you were standing in St. Patricks in one pic. The fence in the last pic divides the two. Oakwood used to do the maintenance and burials for St. Pats years ago. FYI, Oakwood was opened in 1880, with many graves and headstones moved from the cemetery next to the church at 2nd and East Main, where the structure between the church and the Citibank was the cemetery. Which at one time that strip contained a camera store and Friedstadt's Pharmacy.

    I have to get out and take more pics of cemeteries, especially really old ones

    I do a lil sign of the cross before I go in and mention that im not there to disrespect anyone!
