That church was originally built as a Methodist Church. It was abandoned after a couple of years and then bought by the Luthurens.

Thats right Curly it was a different denomination in the past.
Church services and Sunday school classes were held in the one-room schoolhouse until 1904 when the Presbyterian Church was sold at auction. It was purchased by a congregation for 350.00 and then used to establish St Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church.
