Richit and I have been searching for any remains of the trolleys and the trolley line. Not much left. The old bridge abuttment still stands in Holtsville and the Patchogue Historical Society has the rails that were removed from Ocean Ave. We do have one area to be searched but that will have to wait for the weather to break.

The BrickHouse Brewery building at the corner of Havens Avenue and Main Street is the oldest commercial building in Patchogue. It was built about 1850 as a dry goods store and operated by John S. Havens until 1914 when it was purchased by James G. Shand.

The picture below shows how the building looked as Shands before it was purchased by the current owners (BrickHouse Brewery) from the Shand's family in 1995. The Shands operated a hardware store there until about 1990.

Thats about 2 years old, when they redid South Ocean Ave. I e-mailed them about the wereabouts of the tracks and what they where going to do with them. It took them 6 months to respond and they never answered my Question.
