This little cemetary is on Harned Rd. in Commack. The graves look to be 1700's to 1800's, but I can't be sure because the gate is locked. It is down the road from the Harned saw mill and a couple of miles from Hoyt Farm and Carll Farm.
COOL RICHIT! DARN GATES! TRUTHFULLY I THOUGHT THIS WAS GONNA BE ABOUT THAT BURR FAMILY CEMETARY IN THE HOME DEPOT PARKING LOT.

There are a few more in commack, including the Depot, that I want to take a look at ....
I have some pics of this cemetery from 2 summers ago somewhere. I always meant to post about it on LIO, just never got around to it. To my recollection no one has discussed this cemetery before. I'll try to find the pics and post them. I thought about jumping the gate to get a closer shot of the headstones, but I didn't.
Welcome np. Post em if you got em! I know of a real small graveyard in someones backyard. Gonna try and get over there this weekend and take a few shots. The stones are mostly unreadable and a few graves are only marked by field stones. Trying to identify the family who lived there for some time without success. Maybe if I post them someone will have some info on it.

Its nice that they kept the graveyard intact however its a disgrace that its in the middle of a box stores parking lot. Its now really nothing more than a curiosity......

There's another small cemetery just like that fronting a strip mall parking lot in Plainedge, on Hempstead Turnpike......and strangely enough there have been recent burials there!!
