i'd go to raynham hall.Do they have tours or do you go and explore on your own.
Guided tours. They dont let you do much on your own anymore. Theft has become a real big issue at LI's museums so none of them are taking any chances.Originally Posted by lubby

This place always interested me. I'd love to take a trip to it too.
To Know, To Dare, To Will, To Be Silent
I think it was on the Biography Channel yesterday. I watched most of the documentary and it went into the whole history of the house and family during the Revolutionary War. Very interesting indeed. If I see it is on again I will post a date and time. It was on one of their Haunted Houses shows. It was nice to see how Long Islanders played a part in the Revolution, particularly involving the whole Benedict Arnold and West Point angle.
Call me a liar, you knew.
You were a fool, but that's cool, it's all right.
Call me the Devil, it's true.
Some can't accept but I crept inside you.
Here is an ebook snippet from google. Not really about the show but interesting nonetheless.

And Benedict Arnold was the Hero of the Battle of Fort Ticondaroga. He was a decorated, ranking officer in the Continental Army but he felt overlooked. He got a better deal from the Brits. Lots and lots of history in that house.
