Where'd you guys get the photo that you have on your site of Knollwood?

I was talking to Todd about it, as we've done quite a bit of studying of the old place, and I don't think that house you have on the page is of Knollwood. It's very similar in many respects... but I think it's not the same house.



Note the loggia along the sides. The columns are all wrong. They're not archways. The loggia along the back side of the east wing was partially enclosed. There are no ballustrades along the roofline. The trees are all wrong (and far too large to have been added, or removed and replaced) The height of the "wings" (not to mention the width) is all wrong.



I submit, your honor, that somebody switched mansions on us! I'm betting that it was old man Smithers, and he would have gotten away with it if it weren't for those kids and their dog!

Please keep in mind that the pictures above are the front of one home, and the back of the other... but look at the depth of the home... the roofline... it's clear to me that it's not the same house.
