There's nothing "Strange" around here!

It's never been a secret that I'm fascinated by the paranormal and the unexplained, I joined that other site 5 years ago mainly for the paranormal stuff and then I realized that there were other history buffs like myself on there. I tossed much of my paranormal interests to the side a few years ago and have been mostly involved in researching history.
I'm an empath, I have been all of my life and it's a great gift but can be trying on you mentally. I could define what it is for those of you who don't know but like they say Google is your friend (Yes Craig, I still believe it's evil too, lol.) When exploring abandoned building or old historical sites I'd always pick up on other things around me, some days I'd mention to others but most days I wouldn't.
Some of the other history sites on here go a lot into the psych centers since we have 2 that have been abandoned for some time and many others that have fallen to the wrecking ball. Me personally, I don't like even strolling the grounds of Kings Park or Pilgrim State psychiatric centers, they just drain me mentally and physically.
Even the old homes around here still have their ghosts. On my last trip to an abandoned house I brought along 2 very good photographer friends, who by chance are both female and on occasion I have photographed them. We went to photograph one of them and to pop the others Urban Exploring cherry... I've felt something in this home many times in the past and although I've been graced with the ability to feel, my friend can see what I can only feel... We had the other friend creeped out the entire time which in itself was a lot of fun...
So, you're reading my blog and wondering why I am rambling on and on, well aren't blogs about rambling??? Ok, there is a point to all of this... We are not just Bygone Long Island, we are also Strange Long Island! The strange name was bought to showcase the strange and unexplained on LI... Places like the Amityville Horror house and the Southhaven UFO crash! Sure we also have things like Sweet Hollow Rd and the supposed experiments carried out at Montauk at Camp Hero.
My point here is we're been up for 2 years and it's time we start branching out with Strange Long Island and researching the paranormal as we had planned. If you have a house or any other place that you feel there's something strange going on, please feel free to join our site, you can post a message through the forums or even use the contact page to send off an email.
