This building was erected in 1870 on donated land at a cost of $780. It was used as a schoolhouse from 1870 - 1896. It was then purchased by St. Johns Episcopal Church and operated as a church since 1898. It is still in use today.
The Moriches School Circa 1900
This old School was only used for a short period of time. It was purchased by the teacher, Mr Claude C. Neville and moved to its present location. Mr Neville, a lawyer and Justice of the Peace conducted his business from this dwelling. The building was later used for manufacturing optic lenses. It is currently a private residence.
