• Knollwood - aka King Zog's (Demolished)

"Knollwood" was built between 1906 and 1920 for Charles I. Hudson, who was a NYC stockbroker. After Charles Hudson died in 1921, the estate went through owners such as Mrs. Charles H. Sneff, C.S. MacVeigh, and briefly in the early 1950's, King Gustav S. Zog of Albania. It is said that King Zog never visited the estate and there was supposedly gold in the walls. The estate was demolished in the 1960's.
