Grumman Memorial Park is run by volunteers looking to pay tribute to the advances in aviation and aerospace that took place on Long Island. It is dedicated to the innovative people who took aviation from the flight deck of Navy carriers to man's first steps on the moon. Located on Route 25 near the Route 25A intersection, it is situated on a one-acre site of the former Grumman Aerospace Flight Test Facility. The centerpiece of the park is a F-14A Tomcat built by Grumman at Calverton. A Walk of Honor, with inscribed bricks, is beneath the aircraft. Other Grumman artifacts include an A-6E Intruder aircraft, various armaments and weaponry, and a guard booth from their Bethpage Facility
